VIWO Restaurant ERP

Kitchen display system · Qatar

The kitchen runs on a queue, not a spike.

Tickets routed by station, preparation timed, the pass coordinated from one live screen — instead of a rail of paper dockets curling in the heat.

Kitchen display system showing live order tickets in a Qatar restaurant kitchen
Station-routed tickets with live preparation timers.

Every ticket where it belongs.

A shawarma station does not need to see the fryer's tickets. VIWO routes each order line to its production station automatically — grill, fryer, cold section, dessert — so each station cooks its own queue and the expo screen sees the whole order come together.

Dine-in, takeaway, QR-menu, kiosk and delivery-platform orders all land in the same queue, in order, with their channel clearly marked.

  • Automatic station routing
  • One queue across every channel
  • Expo view of the whole order

Time is visible, so it is managed.

Each ticket carries a live preparation timer, and ageing tickets escalate visually — the kitchen sees at a glance what is about to be late before a waiter comes asking. Ticket status moves from fired to ready to served, so front-of-house knows without walking to the pass.

For the executive chef, the Master Chef app adds recipe and plating standards, production priorities, station readiness and operational alerts on top of the live queue.

What runs it: screens, not servers.

A kitchen display needs no special hardware. Any screen with a modern browser works — an Android tablet clamped at the grill, a spare monitor above the pass, or a full kitchen TV. Screens connect to the till over your outlet's own network, so tickets keep flowing during an internet outage exactly like the billing does.

Expo versus station is a setup choice, not a purchase: a station screen shows only what that section cooks, while an expo screen watches complete orders come together for the pass. Most kitchens run one screen per busy station plus one expo; a small kitchen runs a single combined queue. You can change the routing from the Back Office at any time as the menu or the line-up changes.

  • Any browser screen — tablet, monitor or TV
  • Runs on the outlet network, offline-safe
  • Per-station or expo layout, changed anytime

Paper is a fallback, not the system.

KOT printing still works everywhere — per-station printers, Arabic and English, reprint rules that prevent duplicate cooking — so the kitchen display and printed tickets can run together or independently, matching how your kitchen actually works.

Preparation data feeds reporting: kitchen throughput and item preparation performance export to Excel and PDF like every other VIWO report.

Common
questions.

Anything else — message the team on WhatsApp and you will get a straight answer.

Can different stations see only their own items?

Yes. Order lines route automatically to their production station, so each screen shows only what that station cooks, while an expo view watches the complete order.

Does the KDS work with printed kitchen tickets?

Yes. KOT printing and the display run together or independently — per-station printers, Arabic and English, with reprint rules that prevent duplicate cooking.

What happens to KDS during an internet outage?

The kitchen display connects to the local server at your outlet, so tickets keep flowing while the internet is down, and everything syncs to the cloud when the line returns.

Does the KDS show delivery-platform orders?

Yes. Supported platform orders enter the same live queue as dine-in and takeaway, routed to stations like any other ticket, with their channel marked.
